Pet Policy & Community Guidelines
Madison Park Apartments permits up to two pets per apartment home. We welcome dogs and cats as common household pets.
Exotic animals, including reptiles, rodents, birds of prey, or similar species, are not permitted within the community.
Fees & Monthly Charges
- $350 one-time non-refundable pet fee per pet
- $15/month for the first pet and an additional $25/month for the second pet.
To maintain a comfortable living environment for all residents, pet owners are expected to properly dispose of pet waste, keep pets leashed in shared areas, prevent excessive noise or disturbances, maintain current vaccinations, and follow all established community pet guidelines.
Our Birmingham location offers convenient access to veterinary clinics, pet supply stores, grooming services, and other pet care providers throughout the 35215 area.
Breed Restrictions & Safety Standards
For the safety and comfort of all residents, certain breed restrictions apply. Unless designated as service animals, the following breeds and their mixes are not permitted:
- Akita
- American Bulldog
- Chow
- Doberman
- Husky
- German Shepherd
- Pit Bull / Staffordshire Terrier
- Rottweiler

Screening Procedures
We use PetScreening.com, a third-party screening service that will review all household pets, verify reasonable accommodation requests for assistance animals, and ensure that all residents are aware of our pet policies.
All current and future residents are required to complete and maintain at least one of these pet profiles throughout their residency, including those who do not own a pet.

We understand that pets can be an important part of your life, which is why we strive to make our pet screening process as easy and convenient as possible. The screening can be completed online at any time prior to move-in, and the results are typically available immediately.
